Sitting by a campfire, eating sausages and s’mores, drinking beer — it sounds like a summer weekend at Big Bear, but this cozy moment actually comes to you at a park-themed brewery in Covina, Campsite Brewing Company. This genuinely awesome brewery came to us for marketing strategy, social media strategy and social media content.
Breweries have carved a unique niche in the restaurant industry; no longer limited to beer fans, they have become the new “third place,” providing a gathering place for people to hang out with friends and family. Campsite has perfected this concept, creating an authentic national park setting that is somehow equal parts restaurant, picnic area and brewpub.
While the authentic park setting is truly an asset, the many aspects of the brand created challenges for their brewery marketing. Was their focus on the beer, food, or the setting? Should they target beer geeks or local families? With the owners and chef trying to run the business, and do their own marketing and social media, they just didn’t have the time or expertise to build the brand and drive sales. Their social content was great when they had time to create it, but to build an audience of potential guests, they needed professionals.
That’s where we came in, helping the owners clarify realistic goals, developing a marketing strategy that included social and email marketing, and creating content that told a cohesive story about beer, food and venue.
